At what point will Stripe review a merchant's pricing agreement and lower their transaction fees? I got in touch and a rep told me we need to process $100k for a consecutive 3 months. We did that, then they said they weren't able to do it after all in our case and won't give me a new threshold we need to meet. Do I need to actually switch for them to offer me better pricing?

@Chad Michael Carleton @Matt Hertz - ThirdPerson.co @Ryan Bennett You guys rock. Thanks for the help!

@Chad Michael Carleton @Ryan Bennett @Matt Hertz - ThirdPerson.co Appreciate the insight! Is this a typical markup? Is it common for 3PLs to reduce their markup as volume scales?
#logistics-operations - May 27, 2025 at 02:50 PM
@Matt Hertz - ThirdPerson.co @Chad Michael Carleton <@U081DD974EA> @Fames Chocolates @Ryan Bennett I was able to get my 3PL's rate card for USPS Ground Advantage, which is what a majority of our orders are shipping with. Clearly there's a significant markup here. I understand they need to make money, but are these reasonable?
#logistics-operations - May 07, 2025 at 12:25 PM
@Fames Chocolates @Ryan Bennett Thanks!

@Chad Michael Carleton @Fames Chocolates This is primarily UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage. We use the "Cheapest X day" option in ShipHero to map to the most cost-effective carrier, but I have doubts that's actually what is occurring. Here are the averages for those carriers:

<@U081DD974EA> We're not doing a huge volume of orders right now. About ~2,500 orders/mo. At won't point would carriers offer a rate card directly?
#logistics-operations - May 05, 2025 at 02:35 PM
<@U081DD974EA> Appreciate the insight? What's the best move here? Tell my 3PL they're too high based on benchmarks and negotiate them down?
#logistics-operations - May 04, 2025 at 03:27 PM
@Matt Hertz - ThirdPerson.co I'm using a 3PL and their rates.
#logistics-operations - May 03, 2025 at 05:51 PM
Do these rates look high? The product is a powder in a stand up pouch shipped in bubble mailers (not dimensionally very large).

Does anyone know an agency that specializes in Meta ads for financial advisors?
#general-chat - April 29, 2025 at 03:28 PM
<@U08KSCGLKUY> What's a customer's typical reaction to being told to file with the carrier?
#general-chat - April 25, 2025 at 04:02 PM
Is this common? My GF reached out to a brand about a missing package and they told her she needs to submit a claim with the carrier. Curious how many brands are doing this when customers reach out about stolen, lost in transit or damaged packages. My policy has always been to replace an order no questions asked.
#general-chat - January 24, 2025 at 03:08 PM
Has anyone been satisfied with their Meta Pro Team ad specialist? I met with one recently and seems like they just want to push the new AI slop.
#logistics-operations - December 05, 2024 at 01:03 AM
Anyone experiencing this ShipHero WMS issue? Customer shipping addresses on orders are not being updated with the validated version. For example, a customer misses their zip code by a digit. Normally, address validation catches this and updates the address. I'm seeing that the correct address is found in the "Order History" section, but the shipping address itself is not being updated/corrected.
#general-chat - November 25, 2024 at 04:40 PM
Has anyone found a better way to moderate comments on Meta ads than the Business Suite Inbox? It's impossibly bad.

Question on leaving a 3PL. Is it better to sell through remaining inventory before flipping the switch to fulfil out of the new 3PL or just transfer the inventory in the first place and eat whatever costs are associated with that?
#general-chat - July 01, 2024 at 05:10 PM
Anyone have any benchmarks for how much DTC SAAS companies are paying for various sponsorships? In-person events, podcasts, directories, newsletters and the like?
#meetups-events - July 01, 2024 at 05:10 PM
@Aaron Alpeter That would be great! Too bad we missed each other. I've really appreciated your advice and insights in this group!
#meetups-events - June 28, 2024 at 06:07 PM
Anyone live in Charlotte, NC? Looking to meet some like minded ecom folks!
#logistics-operations - April 30, 2024 at 02:02 AM
@Jason Finkelstein @Ryan Bennett @Matt Hertz - ThirdPerson.co @Aaron Alpeter @Mike Thompson @Chad Michael Carleton Thanks all for the great insight! I feel better about it now.
#logistics-operations - April 26, 2024 at 05:53 PM
@Mike Thompson Thanks Mike! How common is it for 3PLs to only ship Mon-Fri? I thought 7-days was pretty standard...
#logistics-operations - April 26, 2024 at 04:13 PM
How important is it for a 3PL to ship orders 7 days a week? I'm in the process of moving from a 3PL that ships 7 days a week to one that ships Mon-Fri.

@Matt Hertz - ThirdPerson.co Appreciate the help! Just shot you a DM.

Any recommendations for a good outsourced customer support vendor? Looking for something hands off as opposed to a VA headhunter like Shepard.
#logistics-operations - March 19, 2024 at 11:18 PM
@Taylor Torro Thanks for the info! What kind of return volume were you dealing with? We sell a protein powder-based product and do not restock product back into inventory in the case of a return.
#logistics-operations - March 19, 2024 at 01:13 PM
Anyone use Airhouse as a 4PL? How has the experience been?
#logistics-operations - March 13, 2024 at 02:20 PM
Thanks Aaron! Very helpful as usual! I'll check them out.
#logistics-operations - March 12, 2024 at 07:51 PM
Does anyone know of a service/company that will accept product returns and donate/destroy them? I sell nonperishable food products that I do not feel comfortable returning to inventory to be resold, but I would still like to ask customers to return their orders in some cases to discourage fraud. I know 3PLs do this sometimes, but the processing fees are too expensive.
#general-chat - February 01, 2024 at 05:55 PM
@Dan Staub Is there a VA agency you recommend?
#logistics-operations - February 01, 2024 at 05:55 PM
Thanks all!

One 3PL for US and international fulfillment or multiple? Does it really matter?
#general-chat - January 18, 2024 at 01:37 PM
Is there a better tool or system for moderating Facebook/Instagram comments on ads? The business inbox is so glitchy and makes it nearly impossible to find the latest comments (especially if they're replies to older ones). I'm finding myself expanding dozens of reply threads on a single ad just to look for the most recent comments.
#general-chat - January 05, 2024 at 02:17 PM
Divide the $ amount you spent last year on dtc software (including Shopify/your storefront) by total revenue. Mine was 2.2%.

What’s a major setback you’ve had as a brand owner? Dealing with a big one myself and looking for some encouragement 😅
#general-chat - November 15, 2023 at 05:28 PM
How do you know when it’s time to leave your day job?
#general-chat - November 15, 2023 at 05:27 PM
Perfecto, thank you sir!
#general-chat - November 15, 2023 at 02:21 PM
@Hristian Kambourov Looking for express payment methods like Venmo, Apple Pay and G Pay.
#general-chat - November 15, 2023 at 02:20 PM
@E Haven't reach out to my rep yet. Still trying to find a pattern, but the rate of failed payments is still pretty low. Ideally would want it to be lower, though!
#general-chat - November 09, 2023 at 03:27 PM
Thanks for the reply! Is there a way to pull this through Stripe? I'm not on Shopify.
#general-chat - November 09, 2023 at 03:20 PM
Is there a way to see how many customers are checking out with various express payment methods (e.g. Apple Pay)?
#general-chat - November 02, 2023 at 04:49 PM
Yes the business is based in the US and only currently sells to US customers.
#general-chat - October 31, 2023 at 12:55 PM
Thanks for the reply. I've changed some of the fraud rules to prevent payments with incorrect billing zip codes from failing, for example. I'm guessing the "issuing bank declined it" error will happen less frequently as the brand matures and its reputation stays in good standing. What other common error codes have you seen that can be prevented?
#general-chat - October 30, 2023 at 01:58 PM
💸❌ Failed payments in Stripe: does anyone have tips for how to reduce the number of payments that fail due to "the issuing bank declined it" and other error codes? This is for a new brand, but I've only gotten a single chargeback (which I won after disputing) after $40k in payments processed through Stripe.
#general-chat - October 30, 2023 at 01:53 PM
Ah I see...sounds like you made the right choice, then. Best of luck!
#general-chat - October 27, 2023 at 03:27 PM
I use the
for my WooCommerce store. Integrates with WooCommerce and is a fixed yearly fee. Couple addons available for increased functionality, but still a low, fixed yearly fee.#general-chat - October 25, 2023 at 05:34 PM
Can anyone recommend a US-based nutra co-manufacturer? Looking for a partner with a mixing/fill line to produce a powder blend that goes in standup pouches.
