(Re)introducing myself here a couple years later as my brand-side chapter is closed for now and I'm in house at PayPal mostly pondering our place in the agentic commerce era. To that end, we're working on a riff on a two-sided ad network product and would love to get some feedback from exactly the type of folks in this community-- very interested in talking to brands with $10-$100M in revenue right at the inflection point of looking for scalable paid growth channels outside the Meta/Google/Amazon machines.

Have to be a little vague for now but DM me if you're interested in jamming-- we're getting about 20 folks together for a nice session and fancy lunch on 8/5 in NY and have a few more slots.

Hey all — I’m Cam 👋

I work as an Integrator and Strategic Operator — partnering with founders and leadership teams to bring calm, scalable structure to high-growth brands.

Over the past 8 years, I’ve worked across eCom, SaaS, and digital service businesses — helping shape GTM strategy, build operating systems, and lead cross-functional execution through moments of scale, transition, and reinvention.

A relevant brand I've worked with in the past was an 7-figure DTC pet brand based in Italy, where I led internal transformation across product development, CRO, paid media, UGC pipelines, and org design. I hired and managed a cross-functional team (PM, Media Buyer, Brand Manager, etc.), and helped set the foundation for multi-product expansion and international growth.

My style is hands-on, systems-minded, and pressure-tested. I care about clarity, culture, and building businesses that can endure — not just scale.

What’s emerging now is a deeper curiosity and appreciation for supply chain and logistics. I’ve seen firsthand how fragile things can get when operations aren't built to flex — and I’m interested in learning how the best brands navigate shipping delays, demand forecasting, tariffs, and fulfillment while still protecting margin and brand experience.

I’m not a logistics expert (yet), but I’m a systems thinker with a bias toward action — and I bring real operational leadership experience to the table. If you’re scaling a brand and looking for fractional support, embedded strategy, or a trusted right hand, I’m currently exploring new opportunities and always open to a good conversation.

Howdy y’all - Kyle Hency here!

I’m one of the Co-founders & former CEO of Chubbies. I mean someone had to normalize 2” inseam shorts, why not us?!?! We grew the brand to $100M+ in sales and quite profitable. Sold the business back in 2021 to what became Solo Brands (now delisted from NYSE - 😬). Wild ride, tons to unpack there.

I’m also a co-founder and on the Board at Loop Returns and currently building GoodDay Software where we’re re-thinking ERP for the Shopify ecosystem. Spend like 90%+ of my time with brands building technology, optimizing their operations and generally helping them see around corners!
