I can see it too @Deb Mukherjee! "Are you looking to get more out of your mornings?"

<@U0864L50A0Z> our pillows are actually final sale due to the intimate nature of use, they can't be resold. I realize that will be a hurdle to navigate. The price point is high but the cost to produce is significantly higher than most pillows because of the materials and the custom molding. Awesome your parents are chiropractors! They will definitely understand OneSheep's mission haha.

@Mordechai Nir let's talk! I'll shoot you a DM.

@Mordechai Nir I haven't been generating enough business for either of them. I heard to be weary of the interest rates from the Bootstrapped Giants newsletter. Minimum I'm needing is $50k but that wouldn't include a marketing budget.

@Deb Mukherjee <@U097BUQMX3R> I heard that the interest rates on both Shopify and Wayflyer are crazy high. I might have to bite that bullet though with them or credit.

Hi everyone! I’m a bootstrapped founder working to secure capital for my first production run. I ran a Kickstarter that helped but fell short of the full amount needed. Since then, I’ve pitched to four VC firms and applied for several business loans without success. The main hurdles have been: not showing revenue for a long enough duration, not meeting the required revenue amounts, and not having collateral for a loan.
For those who’ve been here before—how did you get out of your boots and into outside capital? I’d love to hear your insights or advice.

<@U099QNB1F0T> of course not! Happy you checked it out!

Hi Everyone! I’m Casey, founder of One Sheep. After 8 years in private chiropractic practice, I decided to close up shop and invent a pillow. Since I was little, I’ve wanted to invent something—and after a decade of patients asking what pillow I recommended, the answer finally became clear: the one I had to create myself.
I knew how I wanted it to look, feel, and function, but it didn’t exist. So, I launched a Kickstarter in June—with zero ad spend. As you can imagine, it went okay (ha!). Now I’m working on getting my first production run stateside while learning the ropes of running an e-commerce company.
I’m currently seeking capital to fuel marketing—specifically to drive more preorders and fund the advertising needed to get them.
Anyway, I’d love to know: do you like your pillow?
