Hey folks, haven't been in here in a while so apologies if this has been asked elsewhere already--

Does anyone have any recommendations for Audit partners, ideally at the Big 4, who are well-versed and friendly towards emerging CPG/DTC companies?

A friend of mine is a fractional CFO for a 9-figure wellness shot company and is looking to meet potential audit partners

Hey All, for state sales Taxes, what do you think of Numeral? Has anyone used it and or other solutions you've tried that have been helpful? Shopify seems to slowly be getting better with what they offer but this is still very time consuming. From what I gather you can essentially pay $5-10k annually for a software to make it easier.

If you’re looking for cash back specifically, the Cap One Spark Cash Plus gives 2% back on all purchases, plus the first year bonuses depending on spend.

Outside of that, Chase Ink Preferred gives 3x points on the first $150k spent on ads per year and then 1x above that. Not as good for higher ad spend, but pretty good value if you hold other Chase cards (like Sapphire Reserve) and can combine points for better cash back redemptions.

As it pertains to Ecommerce this is the best podcast right now- https://open.spotify.com/show/0Oqz3VJTYOVHjlp7pqV0IB?si=ba58d9cfa53542e2

Some of our brands use Brex and Ramp
• I've heard that Brex can usually offer up to 2% depending on the volume of spend and the type of ad spend coming through on the card.
• I've heard that Ramp usually starts around 1.5% cashback as the base but can go higher depending on spend.
Happy to intro you to either team if helpful

I’m looking for an accountant who specializes in tax credits—specifically, someone who can engage with the economic development leaders in Salt Lake City, Utah. Any recommendations?

All depends on the problems you're trying to solve for by using one of these tools. There's a zillion of them out there, but they all win in different ways. Happy to chat any time if you need help poking holes and figuring out what's right for your situation

You may want to look at Parker (https://www.getparker.com/)
@Brett Barson, who’s also in here can tell you more about how Parker may be in use with other clients. We looked at them specifically for paid media.

How do yall value your business during the first year? My thoughts, startup accelerators typically value pre-revenue startups at ~2M. If we have 100k revenue in 8 months, traction, product market fit, ready to scale, does a post money valuation of 2M sound reasonable for a friends and family round?
