Yeah that was what I thought. So for that reason I'd say for mid funnel / exploration / is it the right fit for me reasons it could be a great channel. Actually @Nik Sharma talked about something similar in his podcast recently

Thanks Jordan, yeah thing is that user behavior on Pinterest is that different to other social channels. We're in the home decor space so from first interaction to actual purchase it can be weeks (save pin, create board, talk to spouse, renovate home first, etc.)

Haven't caught up too much with it but I think for mid funnel this could be an interesting channel. Depending on your days to purchase and how many touch points customers go through but if they research your actual brand and product and you don't have a strong natural LLM presence, maybe paid ads can help.

How do you guys read Pinterest ads performance? Platform data is looking good based on e.g. 30/30 attribution model, GA click data obviously looks very different/poor, too small for significant holdout tests. CPM very cheap, CPS about 1/3 of Meta. Catalog only, spending on Search and related pins.

@Peter Quadrel don't think so. As I understand it, it's supposed to measure incrementality and not classic attribution, which is quite a difference. But we won't know how good it is unless we have tested it next to actual incrementality findings

Mostly agree with <@U086STT605R>, except that "media buying is dead" has been around since at least 3 years I think.

I do think that it will continue to change a lot over the next following years, but we'll still need humans in the very near future – perhaps in more executive and controlling functions moving forward though. But also this has been developing for 5+ years.

So, fully agree – focus on creative and understand what works and what doesn't, embrace current machine learning and stay on top of tech advancements.
