Right now off the top of my head
• More PMAX segmentation - e.g. more campaigns particularly for higher sku count businesses
• Landing pages for TOFU traffic - listicles/articles/5 reasons why (stuff usually reserved for Meta)
• Demand Gen - ripping top performing statics from Meta in display placements + Reels in YT shorts (though caution here, not every style will work 1:1. Just because it works on Meta it may well tank on Google

Have you explored any alternative display networks?

Hi @Dean Davidson very experienced in the demi-fine jewellery space with some great case studies. Have popped you a dm.

100% percent agree here @Charles Tichenor IV. Very little to be gained by moving it over. It was clearly already working, so why move it in the first place - creating work for work’s sake.
#general-chat - July 22, 2025 at 08:16 PM
people buy from people more so than brands. I would focus on the personal account and switch back
#marketing-paid - July 16, 2024 at 02:24 PM
its based on shopify revenue but not transparent, we’re using them for a site doing about £15m per year and its £600 p/m

• yes if you’re confident on the numbers offline in retail then adjusting the figures earlier in the funnel to reflect that is worth doing. Only once you’re confident though. I’ve done this for a high end camera brand with AOV around $1.5k. Users don’t convert within the standard 30 day conversion window (and even less once you take iOS into consideration). So you need a way of getting data into the bid strategy
• Is there a reason you want to run brand bidding? Can you buy your product at other retailers as well as your own site?
#marketing-paid - May 30, 2024 at 09:26 AM
as in using them as ‘targeting’ on search? I wouldn’t bother. You’re going to severely limit your reach, and you’d be targeting those same audiences anyway, irrespective of whether you select them or not.
As long as you’ve got conversion tracking set up then you should be fine. I’d test phrase/exact match keywords if broad isn’t working for you
#marketing-paid - May 29, 2024 at 08:55 AM
Don’t worry about high CPM on its own
may mean you’re in an expensive niche, or you’re entering high value auctions because your ad is deemed to be quality
worry about your target ROAS/CPA

@Lucy Sherman Great! Have dm’ed you

does anyone know rough pricing for black crow ai? seems very hidden….
#marketing-creatives-lp - April 19, 2024 at 01:55 PM
this is a good guide
depends if you want additional custom events or happy with out of the box, or need to use GTM to fire additional tags
#marketing-creatives-lp - April 19, 2024 at 01:51 PM
Yes - though cant remember off the top of my head what best practice is for coding shopify events, whether to use GTM or hard code them !
#marketing-creatives-lp - April 19, 2024 at 01:32 PM
yes as you’re unnecessarily loading scripts with two which can slow down the site. Either go for the google sales channel OR a custom implementation if you want to a custom setup
#marketing-paid - April 19, 2024 at 12:37 PM
yes with shopify markets set up so you have sub folders for each market with language and country
#marketing-paid - April 19, 2024 at 12:01 PM
then use feed labels rather than country for the setup, those are the main things. Then you’ll be most of the way there. Much easier on shopify…!
#marketing-paid - April 19, 2024 at 11:48 AM
@Nikke I’d recommend Shopify markets
to ensure feed specific currencies you can force it with a url parameter ’currency=[insert currency code]

#marketing-paid - April 17, 2024 at 06:58 AM
either account level negatives or via a list, applied to the campaign
#marketing-paid - April 16, 2024 at 08:08 PM
neither is better, it depends on your goals
• how much budget do you have?
• how many skus?
• how many existing sales p/d
• are you running ads on other channels?
• do you want to run ads on youtube/search/display

any recommendations for the best post purchase survey? currently looking at
#marketing-paid - March 26, 2024 at 05:57 PM
I do yes 👋
#marketing-paid - March 21, 2024 at 02:56 PM
depends on where you get sufficient number of events to
#marketing-paid - March 21, 2024 at 02:55 PM
have struggled in the past to be honest, but have tried bidding towards ATC/begin checkout events instead. If you know your conversion rate from atc/conversion you can create cpa/roas targets off that
#marketing-paid - March 15, 2024 at 10:36 AM
and they show that screenshot
#marketing-paid - March 15, 2024 at 10:36 AM
Yes but the glitch is that once youve found them, and launched them, they don’t work
#marketing-paid - March 15, 2024 at 09:07 AM
Thats not the issue though. The glitch is that the post isn’t showing once you’ve found the ID. Then when you use the post ID into an ad, it comes up with that
#marketing-paid - March 15, 2024 at 06:56 AM
+1 for this. No I haven’t 🥹 and strangely enough when I recreated an ad it had the same issue
#marketing-paid - March 13, 2024 at 05:37 PM
So don’t compare them side by side
#marketing-paid - March 13, 2024 at 05:36 PM
Google analytics is a different tracking mechanism- a JavaScript tag subject to browser restrictions

#marketing-creatives-lp - March 11, 2024 at 02:58 PM
A new pixel won’t fix any underlying issues of product market fit, on site messaging, or pricing. Difficult to say without seeing the site
#marketing-creatives-lp - March 11, 2024 at 02:56 PM
An advisor telling you they’ve seen cheaper CPMs doesnt really mean much. The auction could be more competitive now. Higher CPM also correlates with a higher value audience, so isn’t a bad thing in itself.
What’s the overall site conversion rate (all channels) ?
#marketing-paid - March 10, 2024 at 12:17 PM
Lack of third party cookie audience signals is my thoughts too at this point. May get worse before it gets better. Moving back to a higher % of spend on lookalike audiences could be a good move

Does anyone have experience testing the impact of free shipping thresholds on AOV?
An ecommerce client has a median AOV of £22, but a free shipping threshold of £49.99. Average price is around £3 and avg items in basket 6. Gross margin 65% and shipping is £3.99
I thought you’d want the free shipping threshold to be just above the median, to encourage people to add a couple more items. In this case, the median customer would have to over double their order…
Of course by lowering it, a lot more people are going to qualify for free shipping. But that should provide quite a boost to conversion rate?
#marketing-paid - March 08, 2024 at 01:45 PM
yes you’ll want both so that the assets look good on mobile placements too
#uk - March 08, 2024 at 01:44 PM
Hey everyone great to see a UK channel!
I’m Zac, a freelancer based in London. My specialism is Google and Facebook Ads.
Here if anyone needs any thoughts/advice on their setup.
I’m also building a new Virtual assistant service (launching in 2 weeks) called Taskbase, where you buy hours for tasks, rather than hiring full time. Perfect for small teams/freelancers to get grunt work done. If anyone wants a heavily discounted code for some hours once we launch, then let me know 🙂

• Creators/paid influencers also work well for supplements as theres the physical side to seeing the look of the person you’re selling the supplement to and the customer wanting to achieve that look. This could be a good way to overcome the lack of reviews/social proof
#marketing-paid - March 08, 2024 at 10:15 AM
• would test catalogue if you have a decent number of skus, as its quick and easy to set up. Works better with more skus
• definitely target all placements or you’re limiting your reach.
• your creative IS your targeting. So if your ICP is women 25-35, then use creators/influencers in this demographic
• I would start with mid/lower funnel product based statics, focussing on strong product shots and single headlines
• You could start with one campaign for creative testing (prospecting and retargeting), as at this stage you just want to see which creative/messaging resonates. Then move any winners (ad sets that hit your target CPA/ROAS), into an ASC campaign
• You probably want to exclude existing customers from your ASC campaign as I imagine you want new customers - (though idk how large you are) as it tends to skew delivery to lower funnel and to in market audiences
