Interesting, thanks

#tech-talk - March 31, 2025 at 09:05 PM

Appreciate it. I'm first just trying to explore what/how people are communicating this to their 3PL and if it is truly just always a manual process & emailing the 3PL contact with the wholesale order details/instructions/labels.

#tech-talk - March 31, 2025 at 08:37 PM

Yeah honestly I've already lost enough brain cells dealing with EDI over the last few months and it's finally at a good spot. Just looking for efficiency now with regards to providing it to my 3PL in the best way possible.

#tech-talk - March 31, 2025 at 07:42 PM

Great insights, thanks!

The initial retailers I'm working with all require EDI to process everything (Walmart, Army, Navy, iHerb) so it's moreso just a question of 1) how to process everything and then 2) how is it getting to the 3PL so they can read/process it.

@Chad Michael Carleton as a 3PL, how do you receive wholesale orders to process currently? Is it an email that contains all the purchase order details plus the shipping/EDI labels?

#tech-talk - March 31, 2025 at 06:47 PM

Hey all, I have a question regarding retailer wholesale purchase orders (via EDI). How are brands currently sending the details of wholesale orders they need to ship to their 3PL so that the correct products go out at the correct time/method?

(We currently use SPS Commerce for EDI and Shopify/ShipStation for DTC orders, but we have a makeshift process for sending the wholesale order details to our warehouse for prep & shipment.)

ADSP = ?

Curious to hear more

<@U080J256WV9> nothing complicated - the BWP button is just below the normal add to cart button and is below the fold. So it is there (as required) but it isn’t the primary focus.

#amazon - January 28, 2025 at 11:30 PM

We’ve used it, but can’t say I’ve tracked it enough to prove a noticeable difference. I do love showcasing all of the amazon reviews on top of site reviews for extra proof. I end up putting the BWP add to cart lower on the page because I would still prefer to use my normal shopping cart.

#jobs-and-talent - January 28, 2025 at 05:04 PM

Anyone have any recommendations for packaging designers?

#amazon - January 11, 2025 at 02:26 AM

We use it specifically for our Amazon FBA inventory as opposed to just sending directly into FBA since it’s more cost effective and avoids low inventory fees, but I would be very hesitant to use it as my only 3PL because it’s so new and they’ve had some issues.

#amazon - December 24, 2024 at 06:10 PM

Yep, it’s a no brainer and nothing unique from any other Amazon category.

image needs to be at least 1000 pixels in height or width to enable the zoom feature on a PDP, but then you need to make sure there is no whitespace on either side to ensure it takes up max space in SERP

#tech-talk - October 28, 2024 at 06:09 PM

anyone use fulfil.io and/or have a contact there? just have a few questions

#amazon - October 28, 2024 at 03:38 PM

definitely just repurposing successful videos

#amazon - October 25, 2024 at 07:51 PM

check what your ASIN dimensions / weight are listed at in Amazon FBA and ensure they are accurate based on how you measure it.

if they arent correct, you're likely getting charged incorrect (higher) fees so you should submit a support ticket to request Amazon FBA to re-measure your FNSKU and specify that you think it is currently incorrect & nothing has changed.

#amazon - October 25, 2024 at 07:47 PM

agreeing with the above comments, I believe using ANY off-Amazon "review platform" in 2024 is a guaranteed way to get your account banned

#amazon - October 25, 2024 at 07:43 PM

you just need to ensure there is no whitespace surrounding the entire main product image

#general-chat - July 27, 2024 at 02:48 PM

Sure

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 08:12 PM

thats probably good enough though

i just see PV as a piece of the full STV pie and need to be everywhere, would be interesting to see the path to conversion though to see how its playing into everything

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 08:04 PM

do you bring in 1p data to AMC?

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 08:03 PM

my assumption is it stays exclusive to Amazon, they sell upfronts, start bringing in "Sponsored TV" advertisers into it, etc

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 08:02 PM

yeah absolutely, I think it would lift across all channels

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 08:01 PM

to your point though, no idea when they added PV to be selectable via supply_source

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 07:58 PM

and the higher connection with PV/Amazon I think is partially explained by some of their (notably self-serving & pretty old) data
• Prime Video households spend 22% more per month in the Amazon store than non–Prime Video households.
• On average, 84% of Prime Video households have shopped on Amazon.

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 07:54 PM

I don't think it's assumed that Amazon is the destination they are expected to look at, I just think it is the place most consumers end up going

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 07:52 PM

yep, you can see PV in path to conversions with supply_source = "Prime Video ads"

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 07:16 PM

also, per Nielson for June 2024:
• Prime Video has 3.1% of total TV usage (2nd highest streaming %, Netflix is #1)
• Streaming TV is 40% of total TV usage

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 07:09 PM

i asked my team on their POV: spend is pretty much unlimited so no concerns there. we can do brand lift and have seen good search lift on that in the past with lesser impact on conversion lift. Generally not great for direct response performance obviously, but where the performance-specific win is if Amazon is a significant channel for someone, you can pair DSP ads with people who have seen the STV ad and drive them down the funnel. Plus, lots of opportunity now to use AMC to see different path-to-conversions / time-to-conversion to see how STV is impacting the channel (+ AMC custom audiences).

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 03:27 PM

are you currently running OTT/CTV?

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 03:09 PM

in my experience, it's generally impossible unless you're a massive brand

I believe your best bet is to use Amazon's Transparency program for barcode serialization and then you can use that to fight off bad actors

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 03:08 PM

with regards to what?

#amazon - July 26, 2024 at 03:07 PM

modules generally don't matter, its really just whatever tells your story best. most people will just use straight large image blocks to essentially have a full webpage look.

the only module you need to make sure you have is the product cross-sell module (the premium A+ one so it shows your ratings/reviews in the module) in order to highlight multiple products as someone is scrolling down to see the reviews

#amazon - July 15, 2024 at 04:32 PM

my interpretation of all of this (just set it up last week) is that Buy with Prime transactions are handled via Amazon Pay and while the order will show in your Shopify, it is entirely handled by Amazon which means that you need to tell them how to collect taxes

#amazon - July 15, 2024 at 04:30 PM

https://buywithprime.amazon.com/knowledge-center/taxes

#amazon - July 15, 2024 at 04:19 PM

in the instance when you're using "Buy with Prime", Amazon processes the order and not Shopify
