Yeah for us (when dealing with warranty or repair) it would cost more to get the product back, fix and send back to the customer than to just issue the store credit and move on… which then brings them back to the store for the upsell. We offer a discount for any bundle so when they add their replacement to the cart they are prompted with the discount for another. It’s been working great.

@Henry Johnson Under the customer profile you can add store credit and the customer gets an email confirmation.

It took me 6 months and about 20 hours in the chat and 15 category submissions to get approval in eyewear. It was brutal. I just kept grinding on it and eventually got the submission right I guess. Wish I had a solution for you!

I just started issuing store credit in Shopify for warranty & repair issues. Now instead of a return/exchange process we just give them store credit. So far the upsell rate when they come back has been amazing. This certainly turns my frown upside down.

Thanks for the responses! After some more research I finally hit up Shopify support and they enabled bot protection for me and it looks like its working.

Is anybody else getting hit with these scammers testing credit cards at checkout on Shopify? I have 1,000's of abandoned checkouts and get the pleasure of cleaning all of this up in Shopify and Klaviyo. A fine waste of a morning and got to install another app!

We’re launching on TikTok Shop this month. I’m not a big fan of sending product to nowhere (creators who don’t post) but as new brand with a disruptive take on a big category we have to test it out. I’ll keep you guys posted!

Use a flat rate based on order weight. Ex: $10 for 1-2lbs, $15 3-10lbs, etc. You can set this up in Shopify shipping. And you need to add the correct weight in oz to product variants. I used Shipstation to give me the avg cost of shipment by weight and setup the rate schedule accordingly. Lots of other options like live rates but I found this to be the easiest.
