I just started issuing store credit in Shopify for warranty & repair issues. Now instead of a return/exchange process we just give them store credit. So far the upsell rate when they come back has been amazing. This certainly turns my frown upside down.
Love a good use-case for store credits!

Nice haha. If it makes sense for the product, I always turn on the upsell and Shop Now features in Loop Returns. A bit trickier for cosmetics but we get good redemption.
What do you use to issue the store credits on return?
@Henry Johnson Under the customer profile you can add store credit and the customer gets an email confirmation.
But that doesn't return the order right? Do you then have to go do the return on the order separately?

Yeah for us (when dealing with warranty or repair) it would cost more to get the product back, fix and send back to the customer than to just issue the store credit and move on… which then brings them back to the store for the upsell. We offer a discount for any bundle so when they add their replacement to the cart they are prompted with the discount for another. It’s been working great.
