Anyone here work in the supplement space and had trouble keeping ad creatives compliant while still making them compelling?
I’m leading brand messaging for a supplement company, and I used to work at Goli in compliance within the influencer marketing team, so I’m very used to catching non-compliant claims and getting creatives revised. The brand I’m working with now has two marketing agencies, and even though I’ve already created a full creative brief and clear compliance guidelines, I’m still getting ads back that aren’t compliant. For example, claims like “No more insomnia.”
I keep explaining that we want the ads to be enticing, but they still have to follow compliance rules. Has anyone else run into this and how did you handle it?

At Goli Nutrition, I was in customer service management and later moved into influencer compliance. SOPs were updated for every change, and for anything major like new tools or process shifts, we had live sessions. On the compliance side, product launches or claim updates always required mandatory live training since there was a legal aspect with SOPs and product guidelines being updated aswell.

You’d need a developer to set up the grouping logic. Are you handling the development yourself? I can refer someone, I don’t own an agency or anything, but he’s helped implement product label setups for a few DTC brands I’ve project managed.

Are you talking about the “Classics,” “Limited Edition,” and “Sale” setup? That’s usually done using product metafields. If the metafield is filled out, it gets rendered on the product page.
If you’re referring to the colorways, those are often handled with metafields too, either referencing a hex code or an image for the swatch. If each color is a separate product, you'd connect them using a product reference metafield. Either way, you'd need a bit of dev work to make it all show up cleanly on the page

Unfortunately, the only way to offer the discounted product after purchase would be to create a separate order or manually update the original one in the backend.
Out of curiosity, is there a specific reason you're not using an upsell app like? You can offer the discounted item directly on the thank you page which automatically adds it to the original order when clicked.
