In the most recent podcast, on the topic of drumming up more customer reviews, it was mentioned that it's effective to do a plain text email from the founder of "I just saw you purchased X product from us. Thanks so much. We just started to making these. We'd really appreciate a review. It's going to help us a bunch."

Was curious, does anyone have an effective subject line for that kind of email? ...that encourages the customer to open the email.

I just did it myself. Youtube university + stealing photo composition from other brands. Borrowed a dslr from a friend that has a telephoto lens (80mm+), tripod, softbox. Found a friend with a nicer home than me, and took photos at their place. You can also rent really nice cameras from local camera shop.

imo, the telephoto lens on iPhone pro's are just garbage compared to any other $200+ digital camera that you can zoom in. Product photography you need to be able to zoom in or have a telephoto lens. It's a thing.
