Hey Paolo, I chatted with the Wislr founder and he said this is a good use case for 301 tooling. He wanted me to relay that he’s happy to do a demo or help anyone out who’s looking for guidance on the right setup here. Lmk if you or anyone else subscribed to this thread wants an intro (I have no incentive, just want to see you all win).

#marketing-creatives-lp - November 11, 2025 at 04:46 PM

Cheers! I just asked him his opinion and I’ll report back on what he says.

#marketing-creatives-lp - November 11, 2025 at 04:45 PM

Oh wow that’s a lot. You could look at 301 redirect tools perhaps. The founder of this app also does dev at a Shopify Platinum Partner agency and I trust him implicitly: https://www.wislr.com/

#marketing-creatives-lp - November 11, 2025 at 04:42 PM

I would just take the url of your winning page and hard code that in your ad campaigns.

#marketing-creatives-lp - November 11, 2025 at 04:41 PM

Best practice would be to permanently lock in the change. That way you aren’t beholden to your a/b testing tool to keep the 100% split running. And I say this as someone who is incentivized to tell you the opposite.

#jobs-and-talent - August 31, 2025 at 12:14 PM

Hey @Curtis Howland I have a private database of agencies and freelancers we work with. Has a couple hundred. Do you have a preference for location? And do they need to be a “CRO only” firm or can they have other capabilities?

#marketing-creatives-lp - July 31, 2025 at 06:16 PM

Our success team would be happy to walk through how to set this up. I'm talking with them right now. I'm also asking them if they've seen any of our competitors make this potentially easier. I'd rather you be happy with A/B testing (even if it's not with us) than unhappy with our platform. What our customers tell us is that we are the most "user friendly" A/B testing app in the entire ecosystem, so my heart hurts when I read feedback to the contrary 💔

#marketing-creatives-lp - July 31, 2025 at 06:15 PM

Hey @Natalie Bowman there are definitely a few ways to do this as Maxim suggested. The reason it seems pretty technical is just due to how Shopify is constructed and what it allows (scope-wise) an A/B testing app to control on the A vs. B. I'm non-technical myself, so I get the desire to want to do this the no-code way. And frustratingly, lots of things that seem like they should be easy are actually hard on Shopify. (And some things that seem like they should be hard are actually super easy thanks to Shopify!)

#marketing-creatives-lp - July 31, 2025 at 05:47 PM

So sorry you had this experience. Any chance we could take a look Natalie? I’ll ask our team to reach out.

Ecomm Week in Review (May 19-25)... here's what you need to know

#general-chat - May 20, 2025 at 01:59 PM

I'm trying out writing a weekly recap of the big stuff that happened in ecomm last week, and what brands can do about it. I'd love some feedback (first edition flopped): LinkedIn Post here

#marketing-creatives-lp - May 19, 2025 at 04:01 PM

I would definitely encourage folks to use Shopify-centric apps for this if you're on Shopify. Doesn't have to be us (though I certainly hope folks give us a try). Always happy to help.

#marketing-creatives-lp - May 13, 2025 at 10:50 AM

Easiest way is with a split URL test using a split testing app. The important thing is that you need to isolate the tests inside their own campaign in Meta with optimizations turned off. Otherwise your split testing (which tries to maintain a fair 50/50 split or whatever you set the split to) is going to compete with the Meta algorithm which tries to find the best converting ads. I’ve seen brands have their ads turned off by Meta or even get flagged for violations because the algo can’t figure out what’s happening and gets mad.

#general-chat - April 23, 2025 at 12:36 PM

Great. Can you send me your store url, best email for you, and any other priorities besides re-design? DM is fine.

#general-chat - April 23, 2025 at 12:12 PM

Hey I’m happy to pull a few from our database for you that meet your needs, and make direct intros. Do you have sense for budget, location, etc.?

#marketing-creatives-lp - April 09, 2025 at 03:46 PM

(and support all major page builder apps, etc. that are compatible with Shopify)

#marketing-creatives-lp - April 09, 2025 at 03:46 PM

We are Shopify only

#marketing-creatives-lp - April 08, 2025 at 04:30 PM

Would be great to know a bit more about what kind of content you’re hoping to test. It’s always gonna be easier to do content testing with a Shopify-centric testing tool that works directly with your templates and themes.

• Content: Images, video, and copy, including on PDP, hompage, etc.
• Design: Usually encompasses content as well, but more about layout, badges, iconography, navigation layout, etc.
• Features: This is often more broad, but usually focuses on how thing work in the site, search, cart, dropdowns, filtering etc.
• Tech: specifically testing tech from other vendors/apps
• Price: Shipping (price and thresholds), list price, subscription pricing and options, discounts, offers, etc.

Yo @Matt Ferguson i dropped you a 5min Loom walking thru this ^. Lmk if you didn’t get it

#general-chat - March 04, 2025 at 06:29 PM

Some things I'd take a look at:
• has the channel mix changed over time? different audiences convert differently (an email audience of "existing customers" for example would convert way better than net-new traffic who aren't familiar with your brand)
• depending on how you measure CVR, perhaps some bot traffic snuck in under your platform's bot filters
• you'll definitely want to split-test page changes to see if they have a positive or negative impact on your conversion rates. based on this snapshot from April 2024 it seems like the price of the item has crept up slightly, and you've added a ton more visual complexity: you have multiple promo banners running on the page ("Shop Sale" will take you away from the PDP), your sizing has gotten more complex (and not in a good way), you have a Shop Pay BNPL message that doesn't even apply to this product because it's too cheap (<$35) taking up valuable screen real estate, and more.
Let me know if you wanna jam on any of this 👼

#general-chat - March 04, 2025 at 06:20 PM

And the pages have not changed at all? So in other words, they've been hovering around 1.5% all year and just dipped below 1%?

#general-chat - March 04, 2025 at 05:08 PM

as compared to what? and where is the traffic coming from?

#self-promotion - February 26, 2025 at 04:43 PM

Considering paying for that new app? Not so fast.

We (Shoplift) are piloting a new program where we set you up with free split testing of that app before you commit to buying. We’ll even help negotiate a free trial of their app.

Trying to level the playing field with respect to your app fees ROI.

Here’s an example of how this worked for a Shopify brand 👇

#general-chat - February 11, 2025 at 03:29 PM

hey team! not an owner/builder, just a marketer but happy to be a resource for you on GTM stuff. good luck!

#general-chat - February 10, 2025 at 03:26 PM

Shopify does filter bot traffic, but there's nuance: https://www.reddit.com/r/shopify/comments/1bjc2jb/bot_traffic_destroying_shopify_analytics_and_app/#:~:text=Shopify%20filters%20bot%20traffic%20out,are%20clearly%20identifiable%20as%20bots.

Additionally, HOW they calculate CVR is pretty unique. They calculate based on sessions that converted. Which can differ from how other analytics tools measure it. For example, we calculate based off unique visitors.

#marketing-creatives-lp - February 05, 2025 at 01:58 PM

We’ve got docs on how each metric is calculated. An important thing to know is that our visitor counts are highly accurate and come already bot-filtered. And we have 1:1 order match with Shopify so the revenue info is also hyper-accurate.

#marketing-creatives-lp - February 05, 2025 at 01:47 PM

Cheers Ali!

#marketing-creatives-lp - February 05, 2025 at 01:45 PM

Nice! Invite you to grab the free trial of Shoplift. We’re the first A/B testing app to be purpose-built for Shopify stores, and we’re the only A/B testing app to have earned the Plus Certified designation from Shopify.

#marketing-creatives-lp - February 05, 2025 at 01:41 PM

Are you looking to test checkout, or do you mean the software just needs to recognize Shopify adds to cart, checkouts, revenue, etc. ?

#marketing-creatives-lp - January 22, 2025 at 05:33 AM

Please do! Evening for me here but I’ll pick this convo up in the morning.

#marketing-creatives-lp - January 17, 2025 at 01:47 PM

It really depends on the type of traffic doesn’t it? Retargeting ads or repeat purchasers might want a different experience (even the homepage). And what works for one brand might not work for another.

In terms of testing, you can’t really test landing pages with an ad platform (if your goal is to get “an answer”) because it’s going to want to optimize for most spend (depending on what goals you set). A simple URL split test with a split testing app will allow you to do true testing if your goal is to learn what works best for each ad audience.

#marketing-creatives-lp - January 07, 2025 at 05:05 PM

<@U07KDUF7S6N> in terms of getting started quickly, we’ve got that 14 day free trial and Lift Assist which are pre-optimized sections for your theme that match your brand pixel-perfect. I’d put our “speed to running first impactful test” as best in the industry.

#marketing-creatives-lp - January 07, 2025 at 03:38 PM

#general-chat - December 20, 2024 at 06:43 PM

Also I’d be a bad marketer if I didn’t mention we’re running a nice deal thru the end of the year: shoplift.ai/pricing

#general-chat - December 20, 2024 at 06:42 PM

Yea dude, give it a shot. And our support team is always standing by to help.

#general-chat - December 20, 2024 at 06:36 PM

Nice!! First of all I’m stoked to hear that we’re helping you with this learning already. The easiest way to do this would be by doing 100/0 tests and using Audience Segmentation to define who sees the 100% variant.

#general-chat - December 20, 2024 at 06:19 PM

Thanks for the tag Anubhav! Jack this is super easy with Shoplift. Lmk if you wanna check it out.
