im a dev, what is media buying?

I can't stay my stack would change considerably regardless of what app I built --
nextjs
loops.so or resend for emails, not a form but captures subscriber emails
stripe for payments
typefully for social posts , but building a custom one that scrape our twitter likes/bookmarks and generates/schedules based on our own style
val.town for custom scripts for glue code
posthog - product analytics (primarily what they were designed for), error monitoring, site analytics, session replay, eventually a ton of other things like crm, see the roadmap
atlas.so for customer support

crypto related stuff targeting crypto native users.

backend stuff as I don't use shopify b/c the inventory is all NFTs. 🙂

the biggest I'd recommend is posthog. the rest look fine imo. the pricing is killer (low) and the less tools the less you pay and things can talk to each other.

Stripe has sales tax and they tell you based on threshold and even file it for you. But I want to know for origin nexus i.e. if I have a returns office (no employees work from there but I needed a returns destination in US), does that qualify as I have nexus day 1.

Hey everyone, trying to figure out which states I have nexus in so I can collect sales tax. I pinged my cpa but he said I should check in with a professional who is an expert on sales tax in the industry segment you are operating. So I'm selling customized apparel (tshirts /hoodies/caps) with custom designs /NFTs. I have a returns office in NY but we do not re-sell those products given the custom orders. For our inventory we use a third party that has a logistics hub in Pennsylvania. Anyone operating a similar structure, can provide guidance or who I can contact? Company is incorporated in Delaware.

I’m just starting out selling apparel that weights 0.4-0.8kg per pkg already labelled. I’m looking to ship <10 and maybe even 1-100 orders weekly from NY. The entire shipment arrives from overseas so this part is handled. Any recs on domestic shipping services? Who gives the best rates but also will have good CX. I went through few messages and Reddit and quite a few recs for shipstation and stamps. Would this be the way to go?
