i think the more personal the better. even if it's a small agency you can still introduce yourself as such, or even mention that you own/run a small agency. that's the approach we followed with my wife's emaisl

my wife has been running her own web design freelance business for like 4 years now and i've been running cold email campaigns for her since. it's been her main source of customers followed by referrals (from the same clients we once cold emailed 🙂 )

one of the shopify merchants i’ve been working with rolled out their referral program back in august 2024. november and december were huge months for them—december did slow down a bit, but that’s totally normal since their product isn’t really a holiday/gift type of item (it’s more of a day-to-day essential).
now here’s the crazy part: we’re only 7 days into january, and they’ve already hit 50% of what they did in all of december. if they keep up this momentum, they’ll blow their december numbers out of the water—and we’re barely a week into the month 👀
