We're on Shopify using the native integration to drive products to Google Merchant Center. We don't have Color as a metric on our site..wondering if anyone knows if these missing variables really affect performance? and if i go an add all the information to merchant centre do you know if it will get over-written to be missing again once the Shopify feed refreshes? would love it it anyonr had any experience with this so share

I'm an ex-google employee turned e-com operator (10 years on my own). We used to use Google Analytics a lot to help analyze our customer marketing. I took a look in g4 today...it feels a bit overengineered for us operator gang. I also realized in the land of screenshots that I very rarely see anyone using G4.
so, is anyone using Google Analytics for their ecom brands and finding it useful? What reports etc.

Do you thin kthere will be any discrepancy between UTMs and TW Pixel data? SHould be pretty similar,...Unsure if I need TW full package, Founders Dash is great though.

P&L and attribution aren’t really related! Strong attribution understanding allows you to invest in the channels that are actually working Vs those that aren’t. If you’re a single channel advertiser then sure use the PNL. When I first started there wasn’t even a FB pixel. But if you’re spending on all the social channels and search platforms + creators and affiliate you need to know where you’re getting true incremental revenue.

for exaple, last 90 days account average according to TW is 2:1 (click only), FBs 1/7 is 4.75. but last 7 days FB showing 0.78 and TW 0.36!

What's everyone's source of truth for advertising? Facebook's 1v/7c is very aggressive and says many of our ads are >3:1 ROAS. Triple Whale Attribution often says like <1 even as bad as <0.5. We ran a 30% off + Free Gift Sale this weekend, which is a mid-level promotion for us (we are a discount focused fashion brand) and I turned the ads off after $1k spend at our TW Roas was ZERO and our FB Roas (including views was only 0.5). I've been running ads for over a decade for my brand with over 5M in spend on FB and I've never seen ROAS like this!

@João Fernandes I think if you're team is spending $8.5MMUSD/month profitably you should be commended. This is incredible scale.

it seems to take your eyes into the wrong part. before it was very clean/clear and easy to see. now the visual focus is all over the place. have tried different color schemes...not a fan.
