@Alex Schinasi I would find a dev that can create a simple notification system that looks for this. Extremely doable and should not take more than 10 hours to setup.
#tech-talk - April 22, 2025 at 02:36 PM
@Alex Schinasi apparently all tools will have a margin of error and the best route is to setup shopify automation flows to signal you when theres an order over $x amount for manual review
#tech-talk - April 15, 2025 at 02:45 PM
Anyone have any recommendations for shopify fraud detection apps? Had someone circumvent shopifys detection system on one of my brands.
#paid-media - March 27, 2025 at 04:56 PM
it happens
#paid-media - March 27, 2025 at 04:55 PM
ya im not taking any risks then
#paid-media - March 27, 2025 at 04:53 PM
if thats getting messed with, then Id personally kill immediately
#paid-media - March 27, 2025 at 04:53 PM
just to clarify, when I say blended cac I mean All Spend / New Customers
#paid-media - March 27, 2025 at 04:51 PM
If its messing up my blended cac or something, almost immediately. If my blended biz metrics are okay, but my blended inplatform-CPA on the campaign is bad, I might let it run for a day or 2 to see what happens
#paid-media - March 27, 2025 at 04:48 PM
It happens - the machine isnt 100% right. If blended cpa of campaign doesnt improve or your blended business metrics are out of whack, kill it

Appstle is the best hands down
#paid-media - December 16, 2024 at 09:24 PM
Yeah use
to find the feedback score#paid-media - December 16, 2024 at 09:23 PM
Yeah that can play into it but usually they would disable as soon as payment fails - did you check if its currently failing?
#paid-media - December 16, 2024 at 08:54 PM
But yeah meta is the worst company in the world to deal with re: support
#paid-media - December 16, 2024 at 08:54 PM
Check your feedback score as well
#paid-media - December 16, 2024 at 08:54 PM
Any payment fails?
#jobs-and-talent - December 13, 2024 at 05:40 PM
part time - thanks for asking
#jobs-and-talent - December 13, 2024 at 05:38 PM
hiring a google media buyer for a dtc brand
• part time
• looking for an individual not an agency
• must have shopify experience
• must have must have catalog/feed management experience for google shopping optimizations
#general-chat - December 02, 2024 at 07:50 PM
yep same
#general-chat - November 13, 2024 at 09:34 PM
Wow… kind of a wild case study
#paid-media - July 01, 2024 at 04:19 PM
@Charles Tichenor IV So you’re saying if I look at top spending creative, headline, primary text, and then find the post id that has all of those, its still not necessarily the top spending post id?
#paid-media - July 01, 2024 at 04:10 PM
You could figure out which post id got most spend though by looking at breakdowns by each element.
#paid-media - July 01, 2024 at 03:20 PM
Maybe - but you cant see how much spend each post id is getting with flexible ads
#paid-media - July 01, 2024 at 03:12 PM
I know. Its a widely reported issue rn.
#paid-media - July 01, 2024 at 03:11 PM
As of right now, you dont 😕
#everything-marketing - June 29, 2024 at 02:04 PM
Wait so, no one can put links in their bio anymore? RIP Dropshippers
#paid-media - June 12, 2024 at 05:56 PM
ahh the dreaded {{product.brand}} bug - i have no fix there unfortunately.
#paid-media - June 12, 2024 at 05:50 PM
and then the url will have the pfbid in it - copy that value and that is your post id
#paid-media - June 12, 2024 at 05:50 PM
open the preview, then click the date on the post
#paid-media - June 12, 2024 at 05:50 PM
ad preview + facebook comments works for the top spender only these days unfortunately.
but it does work.
#general-chat - April 29, 2024 at 04:49 PM
pretty normal! lots of people prefer to use paypal. usually once paypal is added, some stores will see a rev. bump
#everything-marketing - April 25, 2024 at 05:05 PM
Question for anyone using Lifetimely to pull LTV data:
How do you ultimately land on the final LTV figure that you trust? Here’s what I mean:
• lifetimely cohort analysis may show you an $100 accumulated average by month 6 (accumulating bc it includes all new cohorts that started on month 2,3,4, etc.)
• lifetimley order repurchase rate report also gives you a certain multiple that some plug in to this formula: AOV x Purchase Frequency
• others ignore lifetimely and just do total rev / total customers and use that.
Is one of the above more accurate than the other? Is there no true metric and you kinda just have to weigh everything against each other?
Would love some insight in how others view this. Thanks!
#everything-marketing - April 25, 2024 at 12:16 PM
new customers for sure. assumably, you as the offer owner would provide… the offer. So, in most AM cases within ecom they wouldnt be able to affect aov as much anyway.
#jobs-and-talent - April 24, 2024 at 12:27 AM
I have someone, dm.
#paid-media - April 23, 2024 at 12:57 PM
disagree with fergal here^
ngl, if Im testing within an abo, these days I let it run for $100-$150 depending on the product. If Im not seeing early signs of promise (mainly a 10-15% delta to target cpa) Im out Its not best practice, but idec aint nobody waiting for the learning phase just to spend a couple hundred $$ to find out you have a failed ad. Trying to manage clients money as if it was mine and there is no world in which I’d do that unless I have a ton of expansible cashflow.
Otherwise, I will test in a CBO and rely on Meta to increase spend if it thinks the ad will work.
#meetups-events - April 18, 2024 at 07:07 PM
someone take this mans money!
#meetups-events - April 18, 2024 at 07:07 PM
yes, more toronto meetups
#everything-marketing - April 17, 2024 at 03:03 PM
following - i’d love to learn more. i dont really understand what it is that they provide? is it an LP builder? is it a competitor to shopify directly? i dont really know lol
#meetups-events - April 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM
rsvp’d!
#paid-media - April 09, 2024 at 03:10 PM
For the FB pixel, you couldnt skew the data manually even if you tried
#paid-media - April 01, 2024 at 03:16 PM
If you go the lead gen route, I would try to do it with a much lower ticket product if anything as opposed to something thats free. The lead quality will be significantly higher
#paid-media - March 30, 2024 at 04:00 PM
I just ran into this. I did the following:
- look at numbers using 7dc and 1dc and make decision off of that
- create a new adset/campaing and exclusively set it to 1dc 7dc
#paid-media - March 20, 2024 at 12:16 PM
Ok - Im coming over to the dark side. How do you think about your bids for a bid cap campaign? Some kind of % of target CPA?
#general-chat - March 19, 2024 at 09:47 PM
Id only run ads now if you can communicate the delay in shipping OR as a “pre order” on the landing page/PDP.
re: increasing budgets - i’ve managed accounts where we jumped from $500/day to $5k/day in a matter of days and performance held.
I think your spend is still too low for it to matter. The only** reason your ads would crap out a higher spend is if theyre just not good enough to handle scale (ie. appeal to a big enough group of people)
#paid-media - March 19, 2024 at 01:12 PM
@Rajesh Kumar how would it dry up?
#paid-media - March 19, 2024 at 11:12 AM
How are you tracking first order value to know its higher?
#paid-media - March 15, 2024 at 10:40 AM
No, it doesnt
#paid-media - March 15, 2024 at 10:38 AM
If you preview ad in the feed, it shows it though. Havent tested that after relaunching
#paid-media - March 15, 2024 at 10:38 AM
Yeah in ad preview. I launched it like that once, looked at it with fb post with comments and still looked like that
#paid-media - March 15, 2024 at 10:37 AM
Whats weird is, its not the case for every ad
