Hey Thomas, one of our clients used
they have exit intent and other aggressive popups that just contain a checkout links / product links that add affiliate tracking parameters.
you end up often double paying for customers:
• your meta ads
• the commission to Intently
being a pop up, they don’t bring any new traffic, they just hijack attribution with their pop ups.
I would find it very hard to justify paying any of those companies an affiliate commission.
I do know that sometime Intently does accept a fixed monthly $ amount, instead of commission %
so according to what you negotiate, it might be worth it vs other competitors.
the advantage with them vs other saas is that they act a bit like an agency, creating graphics/pop-ups/campaigns for you, and setting things up.
However their backend is really really bad..
any other question let me know.

has anyone managed to create a nice AI content generation machine for either videos or statics for Meta Ads?
any tools or resources (youtube videos or others) you recommend looking into?

<@U081Z0JQ718> that’s super detailed! thanks for sharing.
is this only for having a US based tiktok account, or does it also allow you to open a tiktok shop too?

<@U081Z0JQ718> Thanks Adrian! would love to hear what you’ve found out about it.

TikTok Shop setup for non-US brands -
does anyone know how to setup a TikTok shop as a non US based brand..
Happy to set up a US LLC, but it seems like TikTok also needs the SSN for a Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO) which you can only really get if you are a US resident.

SPF can be a bit of a pain. Here’s how you combine multiple SPFs
however do note that if the combined SPF exceeds 10 DNS lookups you might have some issues.

to implement something like this on shopify on the cart page you don’t need to be on Plus.
If you want something similar but in the checkout you need Shopify Plus.

Arcteryx isn’t on shopify.
and the screenshot you’ve taken seems to be from their cart page.
#everything-marketing - March 28, 2024 at 06:44 PM
A couple of our clients have worked with them.
They are really good at attracting low quality affiliates (coupon sites, review sites, shady networks, or on-site tech that gets them commissions for traffic YOU bring to the site).
They show good revenue on their reports, but most of it isn’t incremental.
I’d stay far far away from them.

no date. shopify is quite bad at promising dates and sticking to it..
some brands force customers to create an account before they purchase, however I’m against it, in most circumstances.
best to make them create an account only when they need to.

I’m unaware of any single tool that could do everything you’re asking. Would be curious if anyone knows of any. Otherwise you might have to deploy a series of tools and/or custom patch together a few.
for crawler type to check broken links etc, is a good one (non AI and no CRO)
for missing information, how would a tool know the information is missing?

@Tyler this
allows partial payment/deposit.could this be a good option?

support for apps for New customer accounts is coming sometime in 2024, and app blocks are what’s going to allow customisations on it.
so if it’s a deal breaker, it’s best to stay on Classic Accounts until it’s released.
#tech-talk - March 25, 2024 at 03:54 PM
to open separate shopify accounts and keep the payments in local currency (and use shopify payments) you’d need to have local entities in each country you want to use local currencies (in most circumstances - there are a small number of exceptions)
#general-chat - March 25, 2024 at 03:50 PM
what issues are you trying to troubleshoot?
#everything-marketing - March 25, 2024 at 02:04 PM
we’ve used addshoppers.
the way we’ve gone about using it and make sure we maximise incrementality is using one time coupon codes, instead of multi-use coupon codes.
also they usually want you to offer a discount higher than your best offer on site/email.
usually best just to match it (instead of providing a higher discount) to avoid over-attributing

There’s so much value in past posts, if only we could search them.. but as we’re on the Free slack plan we can only see posts written in the last 90 days.
Unsure what the solution is here.
Some potential options:
Many people (me included) would be happy to pay a monthly fee to be part of this community and cover the cost of Slack Pro.
Some sponsors might want to cover the cost of Slack Pro in exchange for a branded channel or a channel where they can raise awareness for their app. (e.g. Postscript could sponsor the #email-sms channel or an #sms specific channel)
Moving to a different platform is probably not a great idea, as it’s an extremely hard project to pull off successfully.

#amazon - January 13, 2024 at 10:22 AM
One of Moiz’s prediction, in the 2024 predictions segment (S7 E2), was that Amazon is going to open their fulfilment to other partners and become a competitor to shipping companies (e.g. UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc).
In the UK this is already happening!
To clarify, I’m not talking about holding stock in Amazon’s warehouses and shipping from there.
In the UK it’s possible to have Amazon Logistics pick up parcels from your warehouse or 3PLs and delivers to the customers, in the same way as a shipping company does.
And prices are quite competitive.

In short, yes, you can set-up expansion stores for these 3 retail locations and link them to their individual bank accounts.
there are some nuances based on
• what currencies those stores are going to use,
• if the currency matches the country of the entity
but in general, it is very possible.
feel free to send over any more questions here or via DM, very happy to point you in the right direction.
#paid-media - January 05, 2024 at 10:00 PM
Hey Scott, definitely possibly with Shopify Plus expansion stores.
Also, Shopify is building it out currency by currency, for non-plus stores and single store Plus stores.
They’ve launched dual USD/CAD payout recently for Canadian based businesses and are building out other ones too.
What payout currencies are you looking for, and where are you based?

thanks Aaron, my understanding is that there’s another version in which the customer checks out on the shopify checkout.
version 2 with Clarifion still directs customers to the amazon checkout.
I think it might be this one:

if you’re already using server side tracking with any other vendor, it’d stick to that, as transitioning is a pain.
but if you aren’t Elevar is a good option (there’s plenty of others too, it all depends on requirements)
but need to make sure they implement things the way you want, so I recommend you work really closely to them, and are super specific about what/how to track things.
feel free to DM me.
#tech-talk - September 12, 2023 at 01:22 PM
if you use it, GTM might also need some changes.
#tech-talk - September 12, 2023 at 01:22 PM
otherwise some further info on here too:
#tech-talk - September 12, 2023 at 01:22 PM
according to how you’re handling tracking things might change.
e.g. if you use Elevar, contact them and they should be able to provide the code.

we have implemented some code in both post-purchase page and Order status page
#tech-talk - September 12, 2023 at 01:19 PM
if a customer doesn’t accept or decline the upsell offer, and closes their browser when the upsell page is presented, no tracking scrips are triggered.
#tech-talk - September 12, 2023 at 01:18 PM
#tech-talk - September 12, 2023 at 01:18 PM
if you haven’t already, you might need to change your tracking, according to what you use to manage your pixels.
e.g. if you only have your tracking code for FB in the Order status page section.

@Aaron Helisek hey Aaron, it seems there are 2 version of Buy with Prime.
• one where the customer is re-directed to amazon to complete the purchase, and pay on amazon.
• one where the purchase is completed on the shopify checkout and payment via shopify payment.
it seems you’re using the first one, right?
#amazon - September 11, 2023 at 01:45 PM
yup, that’s what we’ve done for the listings that had not been suppressed yet, to avoid being suppressed. we fully removed all mentioned to iphone 15 and planning to add it back after tuesday.
just trying to get some of the other listings back.
changing title has been working for some of the suppressed linsting so far and since Saturday we’ve been slowly getting some of the listings back, but there are still many to go.. but it seems like the approach is working so it’s likely a matter of time and talking to the right agent.
thanks Fred and Aaron for the help.
#amazon - September 11, 2023 at 12:17 PM
thanks Fred! @Fred McKinnon
some of the products (the ones that need to) are “Made for iPhone”, but some products cannot be made for iphone (most accessories that doesn’t use lightning connector cannot be certified “Made for iPhone”). The affected products cannot be “Made for iPhone”.
also we never have had problems with released products, eg. iphone 14, so this feels like it’s just linked to the fact that by mistake the listing went live temporarily with a title containing iphone 15 (which has not been announced yet).
> You can re-phrase the title to conform to Amazon’s “recommended usage” or “compatability” guidelines - search Amazon help for that, and then use that as your defense.
do you have any links to the mentioned help articles?
I’ve searched but only found “Fair Use and Compatibility Guidelines” but that only talks about amazon trademarks (eg. made for kindle, fire, etc)
#amazon - September 09, 2023 at 04:36 PM
Amazon experts, a question for you.
We’ve uploaded some listings with “iPhone 15” in the title, pre iPhone 15 launch (coming up on 12th September).
The product is an iPhone accessory.
They temporarily went active and the listings have had ‘detail page suppressed’ due to trademark infringement.
Anyone had any similar issue in the past?
And knows how this could be solved?
We’re trying the normal support routes, but wondering if there’s anything else that we can do.

you’re assuming that our first market was the US.
We started in the UK, and expanded to the US.
the fact is that we are already advertising in 2 countries (UK and US)
are you suggesting we turn off ads in one of the 2?

I’ve asked the same question and got some replies ⬇️ 😉
