I'm looking to improve our shipping with shipstation - but looks like it requires you to hold a balance instead of pay per label
I feel like that will make bookkeeping more complicated and annoying. Is there a way around it?
(im using finaloop for the record)
Hi @David, when you say improve your shipping, what are you trying to achieve?
Also, if it's functionality you are after, I'm happy to make an introduction to someone at - a better alternative to ShipStation
I'm looking to improve efficiency and accuracy with picking and packing - like via barcodes and better pick and pack features.
I'm not really interested in any of the dozens of alternatives. It looks like your app is at least 2x pricier anyways
ShipStation Startup (500 labels):
• Plan cost: $65 USD p/m
• $0.22 USD shipment fee, applies to your own carrier labels, so moving 500 orders with your own carrier will cost you an additional $110 on top of your $25 plan cost.
Starshipit Starter Plus (500 labels):
• Plan cost: $81 USD p/m
• No fee for your using your carriers – you control your own rates.
• More robust pick/pack module
Hey @Ryan Bennett Im curious, where did you find that shipment fee because I dont see it on their pricing page.
@David - sorry, just saw you had responded to me. They do not share how much their per label fee is, it seems to differ per plan, but they outline some of it here:
Looks like there's a monthly fee to use your own courier accounts and then a per label fee as well. Also, companies like Shipstation often charge a per label fee to the couriers they are integrated with.
