I have a Lightning Deal available in our account but I also need to update our MSRPs. Does anyone know if the deal will still be available after the price change? Obviously the terms of the deal (min. discount) will be different, but I want to make sure we don't lose it.

Honestly, I would not mess with any of the pricing until the LD has come/gone - it could def risk it, or make it go inactive, and its' tough to find anyone at Amazon competent enough to reset that.

@Fred McKinnon yeah, good call. I usually avoid changing anything whatsoever but we are in a bit of an interesting spot with this ASIN. Wanted to see if anyone had actually done something similar.

If we end up doing the price change, I will report back!

In my experience, I actually mess with pricing all the time with LDs. I’ve never had them cancel a deal because of it. You may just need to update the deal price to have it run.

Actually- if I’m understanding correctly that you haven’t scheduled the deal yet? If so, scheduled it and then change the price. You can always cancel a deal if you decide not to run it, but it may not be available if you wait.

@Katie Kay Yeah exactly. That's the route I went. Worst case I'll cancel it on my end.

Fred McKinnon March 07, 2024 at 10:48 PM

Oh yeah I didn’t realize it wasn’t already scheduled. Good catch
