Let’s goo baby! Fun anecdote: I refreshed my site last week to focus on implementing all these CRO learnings I’ve gathered from the last few months, and conversion rate dropped to zero. Couldn’t figure out why - it finally dawned on me that I was so focused on product, formatting, making it engaging, the offer, etc, that I accidentally stripped out all the real emotional appeal of my brand from before. I had some very “honest”, “wholesome” and “approachable” storytelling that I accidentally threw away and even though my site looked ten times better and became ten times more readable, my customers evaporated. I’m sure this pod will mention this but it was a great learning that getting too lazered in on “optimization” best practices still can’t fix a brand that doesn’t connect with people
