Anyone have success with using their packaging as advertising? I've seen some brands do this and I know Amazon does. Wondering how well it works. I was thinking of putting a discount QR code somewhere on eth packaging and maybe pictures of products they might be interested in.

have worked with some clients on making their unboxing experience into something that people post on socials and create content around it - not sure if this is along the lines of what you meant?

Not quite. More just enhancing the ability to drive them back to the site for upsells
