is Triple Whale worth it? I have been using it for a few years now, and some of the data is so conflicting.

It is also becoming incredibly expensive. Keen to hear other peoples' thoughts.

I think it is more distracting to most brands than helpful. It's a great dashboard and think this is the highest value area, but if you're spending under 50k a month I would say it's a waste.

Or, if you're needing more creative and saying you haven't got the funds to work with creators, it's far better spent in this area.

I think Meta attribution is strong enough now making TW less valuable. We cancelled earlier this year and was surprised that the free plan gets me 80% of what I was previously using. While I can't get historical data comparisons (this month vs same month last year) we do get the TW ROAS for example for current periods (custom or predefined) and we get that for free now so if you take some screenshots of monthly data or a loom video going through the trailing 12 months you might be able to go free like we did and get most of the value from the tool. One thing I care about is tracking new customers and I can't see that on a campaign basis or customer overlap but I seem to need to care less in 2025 than I did say in 2023 or 2024 due to Meta seeming stronger. Additionally for our brands we find new customers more correlated with Meta spend, and organic social popping off both brand created and non-paid influencer created.

If you get it, get it for moby.

@Kris Watts I prefer Lifetimely from a data perspective - check it out if you haven't. 14 day free trial

As do I @Fergal Dinan 5 years using it to measure profitability and cohort analysis. What do you find yourself using it most for?

Fergal Dinan August 07, 2025 at 07:40 PM

For me personally I want a reliable dashboard without having to speak with AI. I want to create dashboards for different business decisions that I can click into easily.

Also I like how it organises everything into a P&L so I can see how the business is doing on all levels. Plus the cohort analysis as you say and repeat order behaviour.

I’ll check it out for sure!

@Fergal Dinan Can you see product category level MER, sales, profitability in Lifetimely?

Let’s say we have x4 main product categories we’re running ads for, and within each category we have multiple products. To analyse performance & profitability, I believe it makes sense to do so on category level rather than individual product level. Does Lifetimely support that?

Fergal Dinan August 13, 2025 at 06:34 AM

you can set up cohorts to see the CAC payback, profits and LTV per sku or category. But you won't be able to have an exact CAC on that product as that metric doesn't really exist
