Hey folks! Does anyone know what compliance is required for an international brand to ship Cosmetics products to a US customer?
I have a client from the UK who wants to ship to US customers directly. Are there any labelling guidelines/MOCRA registration needed for the products?
It is going to be international shipping only, directly from UK to the end customer in USA.

Thank you!!

Are you looking to go direct to consumer from the UK? Or is your client looking at importing in bulk to the U.S. then ship direct to client? If your going direct from consumer in US from UK there are no restrictions. At the most, there may be duties involved, but that depends on the value of the shipment. Since the free trade agreement proposed when they left the EU in 2020, no real definitions have been set on what is taxable or not. But as far as labeling guidelines, they don't seem to really care much and there are no real restrictions when shipping direct to consumer. Restrictions and registration come into play when you want to import bulk quantities, request UPC codes, obtain permits and enter the US market as a manufacturer / distributor.
