Has anyone looked into openAI ads? https://openai.com/index/our-approach-to-advertising-and-expanding-access/

Yeah fair. Just thinking whether we should spend any time looking into it. We’re spending 7 figs a year across Meta and Google at the moment. Not sure if we’d get any incremental lift

Haven't caught up too much with it but I think for mid funnel this could be an interesting channel. Depending on your days to purchase and how many touch points customers go through but if they research your actual brand and product and you don't have a strong natural LLM presence, maybe paid ads can help.

Depending on your days to purchase and how many touch points customers go through - outside Q4, it’s like 60 days, and tons of touch points due to high AOV etc

Appreciate it <@U08PLAWQ2D9>

Yeah that was what I thought. So for that reason I'd say for mid funnel / exploration / is it the right fit for me reasons it could be a great channel. Actually @Nik Sharma talked about something similar in his podcast recently

Sharing this on the <#C05SDNDMCLW|> channel for visibility. Looping in @Fergal Dinan @Theo van Wyk @Nativ Yanko @Simonas @Jarrod Sanders @Ricky Gilbert @Nick Selman have you looked into this?

Theo van Wyk January 26, 2026 at 08:20 AM

Definitely exploring this - just from a curiosity POV

Will post results and findings as we go.

Have not been able to get access yet

OpenAI still hasn’t started advertising and they will likely initially be invite only, for big businesses, and force them to commit to big budgets.
Self serve ad platform won’t come out for some time, I’d imagine.
