When your dtc ecomm store reaches 100k a month, what role would be most important for you to hire? Data scientist? Controller? Wondering everyone's thoughts!

What repetitive task are you doing as an owner/manager that can be done by someone else at a lower cost of your time? So you can focus on things that will get you to $250-$500K a month instead.
That's one place I would start.

Around that time, you've probably gathered enough data to understand what gets you to $500k. I'd start looking into the data to help you understand what products to bundle, what positioning to promote, which customers to chase. This doesn't need to be too senior a person though.
Around the $250k mark, your existing processes might need an overhaul - especially if you're not using a 3PL warehousing/shipping partner. I'd look at an ops manager/head if you don't have one already.
If you have an agency who got you here and you're happy, then you can avoid this - otherwise id get a data-oriented head of marketing who has already taken another brand 0 to 1 in the last 3 years (important to timebox when they last executed, because things change too fast).

@Emil Aghakian Looks like you got product market fit, what’s the name of your DTC brand ?

Hi @Emil Aghakian First off congrats on hitting this milestone, this is huge!
Last month my team and I put together a 5-step guide helping DTC brands scale into 7-figures.
Step 4 delves into the hiring as you scale.
So this might be helpful for you. This is not an attempt to sell anything, This guide is for you to read or toss.
Good luck with your incredible journey

i think CRO is often overlooked and important to continue on. building funnels, custom LPs, etc. as well as iterating creative of course!

Thank you for all of your replies
