Hi DTC friends. I operate House of Léon, a DTC furniture company, with my twin and we are looking for some advice on what the best starter inventory management softwares would be for a company like ours. We have over 70 SKUS (for better or worse) and are looking for a tool that will help us organize our current inventory, along with our incoming ocean freight to help forecast demand for each SKU. We also deal with a number of orders on back order as many people buying furniture have probably experienced, so ideally the software would account for that as well. If anyone has any recommendations I’m all ears.

Thanks. I’ve heard good things about Cin7. Do you know if it will also help with categorizing our aging inventory for accounting purposes?

Yes, it does have custom functions you can create.

Appreciate it Peter. Thanks.

I think every business has different needs, so I would have calls with several and scorecard them. We use SKUVault, but have expiration dates, so we have needs around that.

Cin7/Dear is a good start. Cogsy, Flieber, and Wherefour are also good entry level solutions. Happy to connect you with some clients of those if you'd like

Both good takes. It makes sense to connect with all of them and explain our situation. Appreciate it 🙏

Send me a DM with your email and I’ll set things up

Hey @Steven Neman - a bit late to the party but I just joined the community and catching up with requests 🙂

I run Prediko, we help Shopify brands make better predictions and POs to avoid stockout, then offer financing on top to accelerate growth and enable negative cash conversion cycles. See an overview of our product here.

We've recently migrated brands from Cin7 and other tools mentioned in the thread and none of them have gone back! Mostly because we are built for digital native brands, with a friendlier UI/UX, more advanced forecasting options with ability to account for future events, hands on onboarding with our product team, and a very available success team.

Let me know if this is of interest now or at some point in the future. Happy to share more info and support your growth!
