Hey all - I lead Tax Product at Shopify. Coming into 2025, would love the community’s input on our sales tax product roadmap.
• What would you like to see us build?
• What’s broken that needs fixing?
• What could we do differently that’d give you time or money back?
• What countries is it hard to sell on Shopify in because of lack of tax support?

Hi Mike, Don’t know if this is under your purview, but I’d love to see Shopify change their Total Sales number to not include sales taxes. Also, it would be helpful to have the option for entrepreneurs to create a holding account with Shopify for taxes (like an escrow account) and remit directly to the applicable authority (CRA and/or relevant provincial/state government).

Ah, yes, another US only feature. My other suggestion, please make it available in Canada!
