BLOG POSTS WITH AI: We have been pumping out blog posts with Chatgpt but not ranking. They are pretty good posts too based off of our highest converters in a different format. Our best performers aren’t much different but are all written by humans.
• Does Chatgpt affect blog post ranking?
• If so, what is a good alternative?

Hey @Emma Butler,
• It mostly definitely does. Google can flag AI content and often mark it as spam, leading to a fall in rankings.
• If you still intend to use ChatGPT for writing articles, you can hire an editor and make those articles read more human.

You have to write for the people - google will suppress content that is 100% AI written

@Emma Butler Here’s what I would do. Use AI for writing content structure, finding relevant facts (check them because sometimes they are 404) with linkable references and have a human go through and add the rest. I have seen this work super well.
I personally haven’t found ripping from ChatGPT perform well. The quality is just not good enough compared to the keyword you’re trying to rank for that is already in the top 3 spots

@Nicolay Gerold

I’ll send you the recording of the ChatGPT webinar we had today 🙂

Content in general is a numbers game. What I have learned from my own writing, ghost writing and a bunch of writing courses with big neesletter guys as teacher is that you never know what content hits in the end. And most often it’s the one you are not the happiest with or unsure about. Purely AI generated text at the moment lacks a certain human quality. It doesn’t have a tone of voice, opinions, values in the truest sense or some wich are completely coherent with your brand or yourself. And that’s what often makes the best content: useful but also unique and authentic. And the last two parts are hard to get with AI alone.

and focus on evergreen content!

We do use ChatGPT but for structure, asking about what all should we cover in this blog, research about the topic
For writing content a basic template is asked for but does go through heavy editing from human

Yeah agree with points shared above.
Previous company: Used AI to create content for B2B SaaS.
Took help with structure, headings and somewhat the content.
Updated the content generated by ChatGPT with industry knowledge/entities (make sure to incorporate them) and ranks really well and has got us important leads.
If I were to see it objectively it was 60% human, 40% AI
